I am an alchemist

Aloha, Namaste,

How are ya’ll today?

I had a very interesting afternoon today and wanted to share my process of coping. So here goes.

I am a person who likes to keep everything prim and proper and in its place. Kiddo is the exact opposite. She leaves things around even after repeated reminders. She washed her locks, used the hair dryer and left it on the counter – again!

Naturally I was angry. I used a technique I learned online to safely express my anger. Erica Pang on YouTube says that anger is like an iceberg. It is a manifestation of underlying emotions. So, I used her technique to draw my anger out and write what was beneath the iceberg. As you can tell, my anger is shiny red and I have tried to cover every inch of the paper with the darkest shade of red.

I felt better after I did the activity.

I must admit that I did not feel it was a complete process to let go of the anger. So, I asked myself what can I do to channel all this angry energy. I asked myself what action can I take to convert anger into something actionable?

Namaste!
