Now I can say that I have seen it all. I have never ever seen a flower on a cactus. Got this plant on a whim and watered it every day and protected it from those $%^& ground squirrels. Today, I went to water it again, and saw these gorgeous beauties!! I was left speechless.
The petals are translucent and waxy and it has the fragrance of water (what nourished it).
My heart is also like this cactus. People might not see my full potential right off the bat. If watered and cared for correctly, I am also capable of showing off my beauty and how much I have to offer to the world and those around me. Until then I will protect myself like this cactus.
I need to be under the right conditions to blossom.
